Patti's Crocheted Jacket is finished and on display at the shop. It's gorgeous! This class is now scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at 10:30 am. Cost of the class is $30; cost of materials depends on size, but is less than $50. I will post photos of Patti's jacket, along with photos of the instruction jacket, on The Busy Needle's blog over the weekend. Watch for them! Patti also teaches a beautiful Wide Crochet Scarf which may also be used as a shawl. The model is at the shop and Patti has indicated her willingness to teach this again on a Saturday in May or June if there is interest. Check it out at the shop and let us know! Summer Lacy Cable Sweater - Knit in a cotton/acrylic blend, this sweater has a lovely lacy design in two panels on the front and back. An intermediate project. Charts, cables, shaping. 4 lessions (every other week) beginning Wednesday, April 22nd. Class fee: $40. Materials fee: Dependent upon size, but less than $50. Photos will be posted on The Busy Needle blog this weekend! Specialty Stitch Sweater - Knit in Berroco's Comfort (machine wash & dry!) this is a BEGINNER sweater! If you can knit and purl and are ready for something more challenging than a scarf, this is the class for you! Five lessons beginning Thursday, April 16 at 2:00 pm. Lessons will always be on Thursday afternoon, but 2-3 weeks apart. Last class (seaming!) will be on Thursday, June 4. This sweater makes a great Christmas gift. Class fee: $40. Materials fee: $45-$60, depending on size. Shuttle Tatting 101 - We've had so many requests for this class! Saturday, May 23 at 1:00 pm. Seating is limited! Two sessions. Cost $25. Materials fee: $20. Beginners Crochet Class - Learn to crochet! Semi-private or private lesson at YOUR convenience! Chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet. No project, just practice. In second class, get a simple scarf pattern you can make for gifts! We prefer no more than 2 per class, so call ahead to schedule a lesson at your convenience. Class Fee: $25. Materials included in class fee. Beginner Knits Class - Knitting is rewarding! Semi-private or private lesson! Learn the knit and purl stitches in your first lesson, and how to cast on and bind off in lesson two. No project - just practice, but you'll be able to knit scarves, slippers, ponchos, wraps, afghans, etc., after just these two lessons! Easy Scarf Pattern given in second lesson. We prefer no more than 2-3 per class and will schedule it at your convenience. Class fee: $25 - Materials included in class fee. Beginning Hardanger - This technique should be called "Easy-Danger" instead! Jackie will be teaching the basic stitches and you will be working on a pretty little sachet. Tuesday, May 5, 1:00 pm. 2 sessions. Class fee: $30. Materials fee: $12. Hardanger II - Learn the more complicated stitches and how to cut "those holes" in the fabric. We'll be working on a gorgeous bookmark, great for a gift or for your own pleasure. Tuesday, May 19, 1:00 pm. 2 sessions. Class fee: $30. Materials fee: $10. Busy Needle Class Policy: Class fees must be paid in advance. Materials must be purchased at The Busy Needle at the same time as class fees are paid. Fees are non-refundable.
